About Andrea Lypka:

I'm a Multimedia Journalist. I do everything, of course!

I am an award winning freelance multimedia journalist based in Tampa Bay, Florida. I have published in the St. Petersburg Times, TBO, WUSF, and WMNF.

I am also a strobist photographer. On weekends, look for me in Ybor City, Downtown St. Petersburg or on the beach. I have degrees in journalism and international relations, speak five languages, and can work in print, radio, photography and video for the Web.

Prior to arriving in Florida, I freelanced in Europe for Das Haus/Le Maison/The House magazine in Denmark, for the Szabadság, the Perspektíva, and the Erdélyi Napló newspapers, for the Művelődés and the Korunk literary magazines in Romania, and for the Soproni Internetto in Hungary. I learned radio and television reporting during my internship at the State Radio and Television in Cluj from 1996  until 2000. In addition, I collaborated in the “Entendu, Camarade Bram Stoker!” a short film by Schneider Tibor and Tárkányi János in 1998.
